Well, things aren't going so great in my world job-wise and I threw this one in today on the way to work and, god damn it, if I didn't show up with a smile on my face and an extra hop to my step. I know I've droned on and on about this show before, but today it really proved its power and I felt I must call it out once again for anyone out there who is feeling like life has kicked them in the package...repeatedly. If nothing else, let Phil pound your blues away in the China/Rider. Starts off a little shaky, but ends like an atomic bomb. Absolutely explosive. Never heard it? Do so. Heard it before but need a pick me up? I guarantee at least a little more brightness will shine on your day.
Well, it's back to the salt mines, but now it's not so bad.

I've always loved this show, and I'm a late 60s early 70s guy (albeit a 77 freak as well). Usually I get depressed listening to things this late but this performance is so buoyant, it's easy to forget that they were at the beginning of a downward spiral.

My first show was the night after this one. I keep kicking myself for not making the 2 hour drive south to see this. It really is a great show.

I hope your job situation improves! This show can't hurt.
